BLUE WORLD ANNOUNCES LASSO PROFESSIONAL 6.0.2 UPDATE
Free update delivers enhanced support for SQL databases via JDBC.
Bellevue, WA, January 3, 2003: Blue World Communications, Inc. -- pioneers of the Web Data Engine™ -- today announced the immediate availability of the Lasso Professional 6.0.2 Update. The update is free to all registered customers of all versions of Lasso Professional 6 (multi-user and single-user) and provides new features and fixes for select issues.
The update is available for all supported platforms including Mac OS X 10.2, Windows 2000/XP and Red Hat Linux 7.3.
Enhanced JDBC Support
The Lasso Professional 6.0.2 Update delivers enhanced support for JDBC data sources, making it possible to fully utilize the advanced yet easy to use Web database tools provided in Lasso products. The update introduces support for database schemas and provides numerous new tags and functionality to take advantage of support for schemas in enterprise-level databases. Specifically, the update provides support for -Add, -Update, -Search and -Delete LDML database actions as well as continued support for the -SQL database action as previously provided.
The update makes it possible to use the Lasso Database Browser to instantly browse enterprise-level databases such as Sybase, Frontbase, OpenBase, Oracle and more on all supported platforms. The update also makes it possible for Lasso Studio 6 customers to fully utilize the Site Builder, Form Builder and other Lasso productivity wizards to quickly build data-driven Web sites backed by enterprise-level databases.

Updated Support Articles
Blue World today also released updated Blue World Support Central articles which provide step-by-step directions for connecting Lasso Professional 6.0.2 to various enterprise-level databases via JDBC. Updated articles are immediately available describing connectivity to Sybase and FrontBase via JDBC on Mac OS X, Windows and Linux.
Availability
The Lasso Professional 6.0.2 update is immediately available as a free maintenance update to all registered customers of Lasso Professional 6 (multi-user version) and Lasso Studio 6 (single-user version of LP6).
